Chengdu, China (Marketwire) July 20, 2009 –IGS-SMC Asia Gas Systems Co, Ltd-Chengdu has always been the record holder of manufacturing the largest single train PSA nitrogen generator in Asia, the new order received in Gansu province shows that IGS-SMC has its advanced technology in PSA nitrogen generation, and the project will set a new record in Asia.

The nitrogen generation system is designed for inerting application while product nitrogen will be used as protecting gas during the manufacturing process of TDI (Tolylene Diisocyanate) and PVC. Designed flow rate and purity of the nitrogen generation system are 2000Nm3/h and 99.9%. Feed air will be provided by a centrifugal air compressor. With two 2300mm diameter absorbers, the filling amount of CMS (Carbon Molecular Sieve) will be more than 14 metric tons.

The company utilizes its patents and advanced process technologies in the manufacturing of large PSA nitrogen generators, such as: centrifugal air compressors and specially designed absorbers, with integral air flow diffusion. The application of these technologies assure the generation of Nitrogen without dusting of the CMS.
