IGS to Open New Facility in Chengdu, China
HOUSTON - November 08, 2011 -
SMC IGS is a division of Innovative Gas Systems (IGS), a global technology company that specializes in the manufacturing of Gas Separating Equipment. Its products are widely utilized to separate air and process gases (Nitrogen, Oxygen, CO2, H2S, CH4, He, etc) into high purity industrial gases, Nitrogen, Oxygen, and process gas separation. IGS has operating facilities in Houston, Texas; Pittsburg, California; Dusseldorf, Germany; Grosseto, Italy; Moscow, Russia; Chengdu, China and Jinju, Korea
SMC IGS located in Chengdu, China commenced operations in its new facility October 17, 2011. Located in Chengdu Aviation Economic Development Zone, SMC's new facility is 6,000 M2 (64,000 ft2). The new workshop area covers 6 times what it covers in its present location.
The new facility will be more equipped to better serve the ever increasing market and customer demand. The new facility will house its Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing operations. Additionally, SMC R&D facilities dedicated to optimization process separations will be located at this facility.
